A Thought from Pastor Johnson Asare, a missionary we support in Ghana, Africa:True success and victory in life (marriage, ministry, work, etc) is not measured by the visible and obvious results – mansions, cars, family, friends, followers, converts, bank accounts, investments, enterprises, programs, etc, but rather the faithfulness and truthfulness with which you accomplished the task entrusted and delegated to you.
If you want to live under a shade in your old age, then plant a tree today.
But be careful the kind of tree you plant. If you plant rice, it is harvested in a year. If acacia, it is harvested in some ten years time. But if you take all the trouble and patience to plant mahogany, teak, oak, baobab or odum, it would stand for hundreds of years! You and many others would enjoy its shade for generations to come.
Perseverance is not a popular idea and inspiration today! But it carries a lot of weight and significance in Heaven. Paul reminds us to be faithful not successful. I Corinthians 4:2. A dark tunnel is a shortcut around a huge mountain. And there is light at the end of a tunnel! Never give up! Keep up on it! God Bless You!
So others would see the Beauty of the Cross,
Johnson Asare
